Shopping !!

As my previous post said, I am new here , and Melbourne is the best place to be if you are at all into fashion . And initially as  I went to Myer and h&m all I did was look at the clothes .. gorgeous ..! Then my eyes went on to notice the prices .. I was shocked to see the prices ( more so when you calculate in Indian rupees .. veryyy much ) It was really high as compared to Indian store , malls! Everything ..

I asked a few friends and that actually happens . You do feel like calculating and then doing your own maths about the value of the item , I assume its an Indian thing , Lol.

Although, Zara was still descently priced ! But it was spring and cold here, So I didnt really buy stuff from there, most of the stuff they make is for the ones who can bear with the chilling breeze and I am not one of them 😝

then came along Boxing day, I walked in to H&M and it was a frenzyy.. the store was offering humungous discounts and people were in a looooonnngg line for the fitting room , killing it with shopping .

I also started looking at the clothes and as I said , gorgeous ! And ended up buying like 10 peices .. tops , skirts , sweaters etc etc .. That was a very good day . The variety is huge , one the first floor there is even a section dedicated to formal outfits . But the irony is , the sale didnt just end that day, it is still on in some parts of the mall ..! So if you havent splurged yet, go on and do it😉

Chao !

Who am I ?

Hello world ! This is my very first post ,  of my very new blog !! I moved to the mighty city of Melbourne , Australia exactly 8 days ago. I am an indian (yeah, I know, moot point) . Never been in any other country before ,  and this , is my journey captured in words !

I have been to plenty of places in the city , seen plenty of people , and boy am I overwhelmed or what!!

The first thing I realised when I landed here with my darling new husband is that this place has RULES ! well , have you ever seen a line for cabs outside an airport? Well I havent ! In india we just scatter around, but melbourne was different ! It had a cue, a pattern in which people boarded a taxi !

And the roads are OUTSTANDING ! so well maintained ! Also if walking , there are rules there too, that are followed by everyone here ! Very nice and comfortable around here walking , no honk honk honk of cars , nothin, nada!!

Also while im still on the topic of roads, people are very very welcoming around here , so If you smile at a stranger , you are fitting in well! Even the cashiers at stores are really sweet and make converstations with almost all the customers. I loved that , cause I believe friendly people are the best!

Day 1 to day 8 all I have done is organize my home here(kitchen to be precise )  . I actually bought lil jars from ikea to keep all the masalas(spices)  in ! I gotta keep my food ingredients in order, we indians do that like real well! Im not done organizing yet. Being the MONICA in the kitchen , its still a long way to go , and we are doing furniture as well , so this will take plenty of time .

I will keep you readers (if by mistake there are any 😁) updated , my journey served to you to help you be ready for your upcoming one !

Cheers !
